Bodywork to Release, Restore, and Rebalance

Holistic massage is a therapeutic approach that sees you as a whole person, not just tight muscles or painful areas. Each treatment considers your lifestyle, daily demands, health history, stress levels, activity, posture, mobility, and overall wellbeing, recognizing how these factors shape the way your body holds tension and responds to touch.

Sessions support relief from muscular tension, back and neck pain, headaches, fatigue, reduced mobility, injury recovery, and general physical or emotional strain. By understanding your body and your life over time, holistic massage works with the nervous system and soft tissue to restore balance, ease discomfort, and support lasting wellbeing.

Types of Massage Offered

Sessions are tailored to your needs, combining different techniques depending on what your body requires at the time.

I draw from a range of therapeutic techniques, including:

Deep Tissue Massage

Works on the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. Focuses on areas of muscular tightness, chronic contraction, and overuse patterns. Deep tissue techniques and trigger point therapy help release adhesions and stubborn holding, restore mobility, and relieve persistent tension. Helps release long held patterns and improve overall movement and ease in the body.

Trigger Point Therapy

Focuses on specific points of tension that can cause pain in other areas of the body. Targeted pressure is applied at a depth that is effective yet manageable for you, helping to release knots, reduce pain, and ease headaches or muscular tightness.

Cupping Therapy

Uses suction cups to lift soft tissue, increase circulation, and release deep held tension. Supports muscle relaxation, detoxification, shifts stagnation, and improves movement.

Hot Stone Massage

Smooth, heated stones are used alongside other massage techniques to work more deeply on specific areas. The warmth helps melt muscle tension, allowing deeper layers to release, improving circulation, and supporting overall nervous system calm and restoration.

Somatic Body Touch and Communication

These sessions are not traditional massage, but work with touch therapy based on somatic experiencing. The focus is on listening to the body, supporting awareness, releasing tension, and addressing patterns held physically or emotionally. The work is gentle, attuned, and responsive, allowing the body to guide the process.

Myofascial Massage

Targets the fascia, the web of connective tissue around the muscles. Slow, sustained pressure helps soften tightness, improve posture, and relieve pain caused by restricted fascia.

Sports Massage

Designed for active bodies, this massage is often more dynamic and faster paced, helping to move lactic acid through the muscles and improve circulation. It supports recovery, prevents injury, enhances flexibility, and optimises performance. Sports massage can be used both before and after training to keep muscles and joints functioning at their best.

Swedish/Classical Massage

Uses gliding, kneading, and rhythmic strokes to warm and loosen soft tissue, improve circulation, and ease general tension. Deeply relaxing, it supports both physical recovery and nervous system calm.

Shiatsu & Meridian Work

Rooted in traditional Japanese and Chinese practices, this work uses finger pressure along the meridian points combined with movements and stretches to restore balance and openness in the body. It works deeply with energy flow, supporting inner harmony, releasing stagnation, and helping the body reconnect with its natural elemental rhythms. This is less about physical massage and more about creating energetic alignment and vitality throughout the system.

Essential Oils in Treatment

Selected blends of essential oils are used to support and enhance the massage experience. These oils work on both the body and senses. Their aromatic and therapeutic qualities can deepen the sense of calmness, support emotional release, and harmonise the energy of the body during the session.

What Makes Holistic Massage Different

It is effective and adaptable

The work can be slow and nurturing or deeper and more intense, depending on what your body needs. It reaches the layers of holding that are ready to release without forcing them.

It allows emotional softening

When the body feels safe, stored tension can unwind. This may happen physically, emotionally, or both, creating space for deeper release and balance.

It is personalised.

No two sessions are the same. Each massage is tailored to your body, your patterns, and your needs.
